Why the AMD CPU Driver to install?
Why does DD want me to install an AMD CPU Driver despite the fact that I have an Intel? Any insight on this?

The same reason every game (that requires it) installs DirectX, because some people might need it. If you have an intel, just skip it.

Can't skip it, that's the problem. Once you reject it, the install process stops.

I just installed it anyway. I've also got an Intel, but hey, it's only a driver. What's the worst it can do?
The intel CPU isn't going to use it. So yeah, it's pretty harmless. They should have put an option to skip it though. There was also another game which needed this driver, think it was Orcs Must die. |

Orcs Must Die did use the AMD driver thing, but it let you bypass it by hitting reject. This game refuses to let you pass unless you install the drivers. I eventually said f it and installed them. Can't find a way to uninstall them yet...I don't want AMD drivers on my custom Intel computer.

However, I don't remember that when I was installing Orcs Must Die!.. now I have to go find out if I spaced and installed it when doing the setup. |

Thinking about it, it may have been Bunch of Heroes as I installed the game right around Orcs Must Die...I know it's one of those two, and it did let you hit reject and work.

does anyone have a solution?
I tried looking through the games files and can't find .exe to remove it. Update: I got this from process explorer F:\TEMP\Epic-68c81b2a-66ec-40c8-89c0-3efd47582d87\Binaries\UnSetup.exe /HandleRedist /Module="d:\steam\steamapps\common\dungeon defenders\Binaries\Redist\UE3Redist.exe" /SplashHandle=4329152 /InstallGuid=68c81b2a-66ec-40c8-89c0-3efd47582d87 Does this mean it is just an AMD wrapper for the UE3 redistributable? I really want more details on this. I'm in no rush to play the game, have enough games I don't have time to play, and judging by the problems I see people having, I'll wait for some stability patches. |

I have Intel CPU and nVidia graphics, do not want AMD stuff installed.
I guess I won't be playing until they patch in a way to skip it. |
