Unhappy CS:S not starting up.

The new update for CS:S may have messed it up for Mac. I use Lion, and I think this definitely has problems with Steam.

Anyhow, when I start up CS:S, the Valve intro comes up, then it waits, and then it just crashes.
I tried re-installing it, and it only worked once, but it still keeps crashing.
If anyone else has this problem and would like to help me...PLEASE HELP ME!!

This might not help but I've had the same problem in Half-Life 2. While in steam right click CSS and click properties. Then click "Set Launch Properties" under the "General" tab which should be the one that opened. Then type " -windowed " and press okay. Give that a try and let us know if it works. I'll look into other possible fixes in the meantime but that's the only thing I've found that lets me play HL2.

Summary:

Properties>Set Launch Options>"-windowed">Okay>Play

I hope that helps and if not let us know and we'll try to figure something else out.

I'm having the exact same problem on my Mac Pro except I see the icon in the dock bounce for about a second and then it goes away, so my game does not even open. I'm running Lion too, Valve please fix this bug I cannot play Counter-Strike Source at all!
