Exclamation "GAME NOT AVAILABLE" from Steam at start

Hi

The game has been PATCHED so if you get the GAME NOT AVAILABLE msg from STEAM then do as follows:

Go to your library in your steam.

Right click on Payday: The Heist and click properties.

Go to local files and click "verify intergrity of game cache"

It will check and download any missing files into your computer.

Thanks Ansonh92 for pointing that out.

Another fix

If you have the anti-virus EST NOD32, that anti-virus has blocked the .exe for the game for a few people so they are unable to run the game and get the message "This game is currently unavailable..."

Open your Nod32 and click "Temporary Disable" then Verify your PAYDAY game files and then try to run it.

If it works, that is your problem.

* its working now * i put explenation below.

Hello there..

My friend have this error message "GAME NOT AVAILABLE"..

She have done an:

1. "verify intergrity of game cache" twice also reboot the PC between, but it doesnt help..

2. She has "NO" Antivirus program installed.

3. She have deleated the Pay day game totaly then rebbot.. and installed it again, after that did an NEW "verify intergrity of game cache"

4. She have trying to doubble cklick onto "payday_win32_release.exe" instead of via Steam liberary.. but with "NO" success..

But the error message "GAME NOT AVAILABLE".." still comes if she trying to luanch the Pay Day...

--------------------------------

# Solution for us: #

We updated the AMD mobility driver to Vesion: 11.12, but it did not help.
Then we could see some rest of NOD files in we system.. we find an NOD uninstall tool, we run it and made an reboot, an new test to start Pay Day.. "GAME NOT AVAILABLE".. again :/

Now at this point we did an new "verify intergrity of game cache" and "COULD" see it downloaded some files.. but it did not work any way "BUT" now we got instant "CTD" and NOT "GAME NOT AVAILABLE"..

So now we have "CTD"

So i see the Sticky: BLACK SCREEN ON START UP AND RANDOM CRASHES

So we follow this guide below:

# Exit Steam entirely.

Uninstall the PhysX from the control panel

(USE THE ADD/REMOVE program in Windows to do this. If you dont it will not work.)

Browse to your PAYDAY: The Heist installation folder (Usually C:\Program files\Steam\Steamapps\common\payday the heist\)

Run the following installers:

...\Steamapps\common\payday the heist\redist\DirectX\DXSETUP.exe
...\Steamapps\common\payday the heist\redist\PhysX\PhysX_9.10.0513_SystemSoftware. exe

Restart Steam and test your issue again.

Also you might want to REBOOT your computer after this too if the above still does not work.

* After this.. Pay day is now working...

Well i had the Problem, that i started the game through steam/the .exe and the steam window that tells the game is stating opened as usual, but the game didn't start...
I tried launching the game through the .exe, verified the integrity of the game cache and defragmented the cache files several times.
Nothing helped...

My Problem was fixed after i deleted
payday the heist base.ncf
and
payday the heist english.ncf (guess the name changes depending on ur selected ingame language)

in ~/Steam/SteamApps.

Then i went to my steamlibrary and doubleclicked the game.
It brings up a dialoguebox that tells you it will download the game. It says it has to download ~3.3GB but it will be finished in some seconds, since all the actual gamefiles are still there.

Hope it helps if someone has the same problem...

BTW my steamlibrary is back up since several hrs, so it's not bcause steam is down for maintenance i assume.

thought i might put this here aswell.

Still not working for me. Only get the Game is currently not available.

I have tried the following:
Turn off Antivirus and Verified the files
Not turn off Antivirus and Verified the files
Uninstalled Physx and Installed the version that comes with the game
Restarted
Deleted payday the heist base.ncf and payday the heist english.ncf and Validated the files after that.
Try to start game by opening "payday_win32_release" file
Try to start game by opening "payday_win32_release" file with admin privileges

Every time i try to validate it says that 1 file is missing and then Steam updates the game but still cannot start the game. Am i missing some files or something?
This is the content of my folder right now

I really want to play this game right now and am pretty annoyed about this
What gets me even more jarateed off is that they haven't updated the Store Page and removed Free weekend banner so i know that i missed the free weekend

Edit?
Whenever i try to start the game i see a file gets removed called installscript.vdf when i validate the game files it comes back but when i try to start the game it goes away again.
When i tried to google "payday the heist installscript.vdf" without the quotation marks i get a lot of results from torrent sites, i'm guessing the games anti-pirate software is what's troubling me?

I also forgot to add that i have never played the game and just bought it and downloaded it a few hours ago
