In GTA IV I have a very poor fps, I tried changing the graphics settings several times and in many ways, but it is very wrong.
I have this configuration PC: CPU Type QuadCore AMD Phenom II X4 Black Edition 955, 3200 MHz (16 x 200) System Memory 8192 MB (DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM) Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 5670 (1024 MB) x2 (Crossfire) Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit service pack 1 Directx 11 Do you have any ideas? Thanks for the help. |

i just think the game is poorly optimized
Intel quad core @2.50GHz nvidea 470GTX with 1280 mb of ram 4GB of ram win7 64 bit I get 35 fps max and it drops, but somehow it doesn't bother me since the game runs smooth but i know it should be better. oddly enough cut scenes give me 60FPS, i even turned off shadow and tried lowering a few things but no luck. I am thinking about maxing the game out and see if i still get that 35 fps. |

Same thing here. Good luck getting above 40-45 fps in this game, no matter your configuration.
I get 25-35 fps on average, 40 max, with a core2duo 3.0 ghz, 4gb ddr2 and a 9800 gtx+. But like bannoura said, even with 25-30 fps, then game runs surprisingly smooth. |

The only time it's really a problem is when it drops below 20 FPS, which when it's foggy and alot going on and such, hmm yea it does happen. This is when high speed runs really suck due to lagg. But yea other than this, very playable @ above 20 FPS.

Same issues. This was just a poorly ported game and Rockstar support doesn't exist.
