That doesn't even sound like it's capable of running Half Life 1.

I'm tempted to try it on my laptop, but I doubt it will work. These are my specs:
2.2 GHz Dual Core T3400
Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family (~358 MB integrated)
3 GB of memory.
If anyone has tried it on similar specs, awesome, I'd like to know out of curiosity. Although, I doubt I'll try it. I've got another machine that's perfectly capable of running it, so I see no dire need to do this for myself.

That would probably do it easily. I have a 1,87 duo, 1 gb ram and a geforce 9700 and it works fine(Loading takes long though but that's just source).

This is probably the most correct post in the entire history of this forum.

Wait, never mind. THIS is the post.

Seriously at this point, people playing the game on Xbox are doing so because they want to, not because they can't run it or some like that.

Clearly there is, because my post was an opinion.

You stated it as if it were a fact, not as if it were an opinion.

Sandybridge i3 is actually pretty good. I'm still playing on a Core 2 duo from < 2006.

This video shows me playing Team Fortress 2 at a solid 30-45FPS on a laptop with no graphics card. I was playing at 1366x768 in the video but if I want 60-100FPS I could turn down the resolustion to the lowest.

I used a config in this video so find a config and use it so you can play the game with updates.

Laptop Specs:
CPU: Core i3 @ 2.20GHz
GPU: Intel HD Graphics
RAM: 2GB
no graphics card?
of course you have one
you wouldn't even be able to see your desktop without a graphics card

Nobody has a GPU aka Graphics card anymore.

BTW: You always have a GPU, as they are actually installed on the cpu, not that it is a good one. For gaming you should have a video card.
