Skyrim preorder question

I got the Skyrim as a gift from a friend, which he sent me over a trade as an inventory item. I opened the gift but nothing really happened, and after a few clicks later it just said that the gift is invalid/expired. The game is on my list now, but I'm not sure if my gift registered or not. There was just no confirmation that all went like it should.

If it's on your list, it's registered. Now you just need to wait for it to launch to be able to play it.

Yeah, it's a bit deficient like that.
I send gifts to my friends all the time, and aside from the order confirmation, the only way to see if my friend actually got it, is either ask him, or check his games list. :\

I had a similar question. I pre ordered Skyrim the othe rday and it appeared on my games list. For some reason I have not been charged for the game yet when i try to re-order it it says,
" Your purchase could not be completed because it looks like you already own one of the games you are trying to buy. Please check your account and your cart to verify you are buying an item you do not already own.".

I have purchased a few items in the past week and I get a recipt in my e-mail stating my purchased title and the cost. For Skyrim I have not recieved a recipt. Will they not chage me intill the game is released ?

If a payment doesn't go through then usually the game in question dissapears from your games list after a few hours after which you can try to purchase again.

If it stays in the list, and you are sure you were not charged, it might be a good idea for you to contact support and check it with them.

I went to the Support forums but there was nothing on my issue. i don't know how to contact the Steam Customer Service people. I went to, " https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...8360-WEJC-2625 " . I did not find a link to post an issue or send a e-mail.

I put the link you need in my above post (the 'contact support), click on it and scroll down the page. You will need to create a support account - support accounts are seperate from forum and steam accounts for security reasons. Then you will need to create a ticket about your problem.

Usually that process is only for people that don't currently have Steam accounts that are gifting a game to you.

For Steam to Steam, you don't have to click anything. It will just magically appear in your list.
