Things that need to be fixed

Hello, i am a big fan of UT3 mods and killing floor.
This is a list of things that need to be fixed, they have to be fixed in order for this game to do good.

1st of all, if playing with keyboard.. you need to fix it so knife and explosives you can switch to it as a weapon in your invintory. Its not a problem with playing with a controller like that, but keyboard/mouse it is. But then playing on controller you cant turn as fast as keyboard/mouse. This is a big issue.
2.FOV option needs to be there.
3.Server list doesnt say difficulty of game your joining, ping time, or any information about a server. If we do get mod tools and this game is popular it will be impossible to know if your joining a vanilla server or modded server.
4.Performance issues on high end systems, im runnning a HD6970 and a very fast system and this game gets some slowdowns occasionally. Im really not sure why all other games run good.
5.Need that dedicated servers patch still.
6.AI is horrible, the creatures just stand there half of the time.
7. Spawning system is ok for a certain game mode, but how about a different game mode with a different spawning system?
8. How about a break in between waves?
9. Need more ammo drops so you can use your weapons more, so you can choose to use melee or weapons, i dont think everyone will ever get to see all the gun upgrades if easy mode doesnt have enough bullets to upgrade your guns all the way, this isnt a definate need to be fixed but it helps. some more weapons might help too.
10. longer time between evniromental dangers
11. CHANGE GAME RESOLUTION TO 1920x1080 AND GO BACK IN OPTIONS AND ITS BACK TO A REALLY LOW RESOLUTION AGAIN!

Thats all i can think of off the top of my head.
I suggest maybe adding a few more styles of weapons, like we have pistol, shotgun, and machine gun.. how boring and old is that.. every game has that.. sure you get a grenade launcher or something once in a while, but how about a 4th class - and even a 5th class of weapons that you can upgrade... maybe when you destroy enough of the stones, it upgrades your demon powered weapon or something, which shoots out electric crap, or maybe a flame thrower class, hell ill settle for a BB gun class...
I love this game so far, its great, and I know the dev's were just modders, and i dont mean to hurt your feelings its a good game... but we need more.. i am enjoying this game very much, and i dont mean to hurt the dev's feelings either. this is more or less me begging you to fix the game so it stays alive !!!
Also, last but not least, maybe you can make a simple mod which is similar to the one with the boss, but you can add weaker boss's that get stronger every few rounds.. beat round 1, boss, beat round 2, boss, beat round 3,boss. like that... the world needs a game with the arcade style beat round - kill boss !!!!!! if you could setup something like that itd be pretty awesome. we need more is all im saying.

The knife and explosives are way better the way they are right now, switching to them in the middle of a fight won't work.

That wouldnt work in this game as you need a way to instantly attack with Melee and CQC at any given time, switching would be too slow!

Actually you can turn fast - check the move list ingame

The AI isnt horrible, thats a design choice to keep the game fair - on Easy only 3 monsters will attack you at once, on normal 5 on Hard 8, and each round the number is raised by 1.
I can guarantee you that this "horrible AI" will kick your horribly on the higher difficultys!

Ammo drops once one of your weapons is empty and within 30 seconds.

You only need to set the resolution once, what the menu says doesnt matter. Or does the screen resolution switch back? If not where is the problem?

Alot of what you suggest is already in the game right now, did you even bother to look?

How about a way to join in a game if you are a late joiner. It is a long wait between waves.

That is the only issue I have with it. Love the game!

I don't think this has been mentioned but from the few games I played last night the players with the highest scores weren't the ones using guns. In my second game I noticed a player was just jump kicking> executing > repeat on foes then meleeing the enraged enemies. When I started doing this I noticed there was never a chance to use guns, in fact the game seems to punish you for standing there using your weapon.

As the game is now it seems melee is much more useful than weapons and there is little point in upgrading them besides CQC really.

I only have 3 complaints with the game so far:

1st, I really wish there was a blind fire, pushing the left mouse button is completely useless right now and usually only gets you killed. Even if it was very inaccurate and missed even most of the time, at least you wouldn't stand and twitch like an idiot.

2nd, The second CQC upgrade, the scythe should not do less damage than the Knife. I don't care if it has a better range and can hit more enemies you should still be able to one hit the normal enemies with the scythe.

3rd, This may be a small point, but I'd really like to choose my character :c

I think that was me lol, but while that strategy does work pretty well it isn't perfect, I tend to get a lot of deaths and am also outscored by people with the opposite philosophy. This game seems to rely heavily on the use of everything, and I think I use a bit too much melee... lol

i cant get mine to stay at 1920x1080

it will do fullscreen, but when i select 1920x1080 nothing changes from the 800x600 setting.

Actually I found out that spamming the kick causes multiple enemies to be stunned and the ones missed become enraged and some can really put the hurt on you, but upgraded cqc and a little attention left me at 160-200 health at all times while my teammates who were all teamed up shooting in all directions defending a position were constantly either dead or in the red. It looked like my teammates were being punished for sticking together and using their guns while I was lone wolfing just spamming kicks and chainsaw

i cant get mine to stay at 1920x1080

it will do fullscreen, but when i select 1920x1080 nothing changes from the 800x600 setting.
THAT IS EXACTLY what i was saying.

Thank you for replying dev, but yes i DID look before i said it..
and i still agree there are issues with what i said..
one of the biggest is the server problem you didnt say anything about that back to me about it though.. you addressed everything else back to me, and i still think there are problems with alot of that stuff. maybe itll work its self out with other game modes some of them. the server browser will really kill the game though if that isnt fixed. And i understand that the AI will kick my in harder modes, but besides that, how about having enemys spawn out of sight so that they dont just stand there at a distance and look cheesey ??? its a real eye sore and ruins the feeling of the game. I thought i had some real good advice on what to do for the game, and was only giving feedback to help. I cant believe you asked if i even looked? Im trying to help here... Not hurt the game. Also you didnt see what i was saying about having another weapon class you can lvl up, to add into what gun classes you can use... 3 guns just isnt enough.. sure you can pick up other weapons, but you lose them when you die, and theyre strong right away, we need more guns to level up. what if you could get a weak grenade launcher, weak flame thrower, a lightning gun, etc, lvl them all up, instead of picking up some semi-powerful weapon like a flame thrower and losing it when you die and not being able to level it up... more weapons to lvl, means more things for players to work towards, and more reason to play it longer, and more "new" things for the players to experience.. thats what keeps people playing a game longer and coming back. I played this game for 2 days now and i feel like ive seen nearly everything.

Press tab and type "setres 1920x1080" into the console, that should help

Server & browser issues are known and will be adressed in a future patch

We understand and thanks for your feedback, but this cannot be changed for technical and gameplay reasons.

Leveling is a double-edged sword, some people love it, others hate it, we decided that we didnt want to have levelling because it discourages new players.

Depending on player feedback we can still add this later on

Alot of what you suggest is already in the game right now, did you even bother to look?
Some of his issues are already in the game. At least 3 are planned on being changed in future patches. 1 is definitely a bug of some kind.

More importantly though, many of your posts are disdainful, dismissive, and condecending toward people who are your customers.

For better or worse, you're a professional game designer, and as the customers, we have a right to see patience, understanding, and professionalism from you and all the developers.

Posts like I've quoted don't solve his problems, and don't show you care.

Even simple posts stating "slated for next patch" are much more effective.

Killing Floor became as popular as it is because the devs put a lot of work into it and effectively used feedback to constantly improve their game.

If you want Haunted to see the same sort of success you need to re-evaluate your approach.

I'm really, really glad I'm not the only one who is getting this impression of complete condescension from these guys. Looking down on your Actual Paying Customers is one of the worst business moves a new company can ever make.
