Internet Explorer 9 Not Working Right
ive been having trouble with ie9. last week, when i would click to start it, it would act like it would open, but just stops and shuts down. i reinstalled it (after like an hour of stupid errors going by) and it was going very slow. now today, it opens with just a white box with a black border with only the red X. nothing else but that. after about 30 seconds, it shutsdown. has anyone had this problem with IE9 before? please help.

1. Have you scanned your PC recently for a virus?
2. Use Firefox. |

Consult these forums, they're the official support forums of IE, and while a bunch of Steam guys who are a lot smarter than me may know, there are a bunch of guys who may help you out.
Secondly, if you manage to get the internet working again, I recommend you get Chrome, Opera or Firefox, they have a tendency to work better than IE, but it's really a matter of preference (I mean, I have Chrome, Safari and Firefox on my macbook, but I'm happy enough with Safari, I've gotten used to it) Last edited by Blackgammon: 10-27-2011 at 01:06 PM. |

I don't know much about IE since I ditched it ages ago, but I suppose you could try installing a older version and seeing if that works.

Even so it would at least you would know if the version plays a part in the problem. Program updates do have a tendency to break things.

I just died of a heart attack from the horror!
Did you install IE from a disc? or did you download it? If the first, maybe try the one on the internet and see if that still works. Otherwise, it might just be your internet connection, if it's going slow, it might mean that it's a little overheated Last edited by Blackgammon: 10-27-2011 at 01:32 PM. |

"Internet explorer"
Oh, theres your problem. Check your hosts file, and run a virus scan. IE has far from competent security. |
