So...

Waiting for reaction before the buy....and oops beta version released.

Then, ok we fixed it.

Reaction: Wait this versions still buggy.

So..i kind of don't need to ask, but how bout some initial reactions. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it's an avoid.

I'm unconvinced it's not still the beta version.

I played the buggy version for 2 hours, def not an avoid, it will be fixed. People make mistakes for sure, but like any company, any job. . .its frustrating, but they will fix it. The 2 hours played hands down hooked me. I never played the first, but im already loving this one (minus the bugs : /)

It seems that this version is not just buggy - it's the same version as before!
If that's really the case, then it's pretty remarkable. But it does suggest one bit of good news: somewhere, there is a much better, fixed version. We just need to get it!

Yup, I think this could not be the right build, no cinematics, no full screen without alt enter, bugs still present and possible lack of features...

This can't possibly be the right build, come on developers get it together already, this is right on ridiculous.

Your slowly climbing your way to Stronghold 3 level today.

Fired up a multiplayer game with some pals.

Hit "Colonize" on a planet.

Grey screen with no way to escape it.

Started a SP game. Menu transitions take FOREVER.

I have DLC but no options in game, button greyed out, before there was an options button active and options screen was available but unusable, so this is definitely a different version and Steam showed me the patching history.

However it is hard to tell the difference so there is a question over whether this is the right version.

Hey, buy the first one. Its like $5 I think and comes with all the expansions. Great game, I have over 160 hours in it according to steam, definitely worth $5.

Come back to SOTS2 in a few weeks and check back then.

It's hard to tell how many people realize that Kerberos are not a team that would stop working on a buggy game... Whatever the state is now, they will keep working on it until it is perfect. And then they'll work some more to add some things. SotS prime took a bit of work after release to reach a good point... but they kept going till it was properly refined. They also continued adding content all the way up till now, and still are going to have another SotS prime update even with 2 out.

I mean its playable I loaded up a human game and played a few turns.

I moved a Fleet to survey a system and it took about 2 turns to get there and another 3 turns to actually get the survey done( IE you don't instantly learn about the system)

I also sent a colozize fleet to survey and it has not finished it survey yet.

When you cancle the survey of a fleet it turns back to it base. Which is strange... Could take forever to explore at this rate.

Something anoying that I have noticed is that you go to a combat holding screen for the AI planets and it can take like 15 to 20 seconds to finish that screen.....

And thats per combat.. I cant tell if you can just exit it or not, but I can imagine later in the game this very annoying feature taking about a pretty good portion of your time. Why do I care about what the AI is fighting.. And more important why is it that I am watching a blank screen countdown for each of the AI combats?

No tutorial to help you figure out what your doing is also annnoying.

Frankly, that doesn't make most people (judging by the commentary) feel much better at the moment, nor does it excuse a undeniably incompetent launch. This isn't Minecraft and people who got the game didn't sign up to be part of alpha funding. The fact that it will probably be a complete, stable game at an indeterminate time in the future is not a very good selling feature.

I was looking forward to this game, but if sloppy releases are going to become the norm, I think I'll stop buying games.
