"This Application Must Exit Immediately"

Hi Forum,

I encountered this error immediately after starting Hamilton's Great Adventure. The Steam client would attempt to install some Visual C++ runtime (?) then a system beep and the error would appear.

My fix involved two steps:

1) Repair the Visual C++ runtime. I ran c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\hamilton's great adventure\install\vcredist_x86 and chose repair.

2) I updated my nvidia drivers to 285.62.

Upon reboot, the game is running again. Not sure which of the two fixed the problem. Am posting in hopes that it helps someone.

I got this error when I tried to disable Steam Cloud.
