Enabling Online play?

So I got scammed buying Sanctum of Slime for my friend and myself thinking we could play Online together. Okay Atari hahaha good joke on me screwing me twice with PC Ghostbuster games (I hope you rot in hell)

That out of the way, Sanctum of Slime PC looks like a cheap rip off from the console version right down to the menu options. Surely the Online portion of it must be in there since the consoles have online?

If for some reason they ripped it out as a bigger F U to PC Gamers, isnt there software that they used in the Ancient Past when games had local co op on the PC to trick the game into Online play? Couldnt something like that work here?
