Purchased it
Yeah I know it's probably going to be even cheaper during the xmas sale or whenever, but I wanted to support Spiderweb on Steam

There's a massive difference between price on steam now and on spiderweb site: $45 there, $16 here. With the more expensive one you get an actual physical product, but even so.

Do you think it will be cheaper during the holiday sale? I'm really not sure, but the price right now is actually pretty good.
You get 5 games, totaling up to hundreds of hours of game time, for $15.99. And now I'm thinking of getting it .

I will get the Saga from Steam if I can launch and play the game without using the Steam client. Does anyone know if the games will run without Steam? Can anyone test 'em and let me know?

Well I guess I wouldn't have needed to wait for the Holiday sale for it to be cheaper after all.
Ah well, I've already beaten the first game, and made decent progress into the second, and $16 was more than a fair price to pay for all this

I got it today, I think about buying the saga everytime I am on steam and looking for something new and so I finally decided to give it a try (also got Avernum: EFTP but will play geneforge first/atm). Very happy. I wish I got it all those other times instead of the prettier-looking disappointments.
I think this looks very promising, I have been playing for 3+ hours and didn't even realise, I thought Geneforge 1's graphics were easy to deal with, doesn't hurt your eyes as with the jaggies in ps1 games (after getting use to anti-aliasing). The story really is awesome,I am constantly trying to think how it applies to our world with the awakened, the obeyers and the takers. I think I will join the awakened, smart but not crazy or servile. Obviously there are many parallels to humanity. So yeah, gaming-wise, a wise decision indeed. |
