I advise everybody to read the sticky after changing their password.

What to do if you have the same password everywhere:

You already had to change your forum password, but if you are using the same password for anywhere else, you have to change all of those for sure. Most importantly change the ones for Steam and anything that has the same password that can access your money, things like your bank or paypal info.

Another important password to change (if you use the same one) is your e-mail password.

For Credit Cards:

For people with credit cards, keep an eye out for any weird stuff on your next bill.

Steam servers are really busy today!

If you can't change your steam password due to an error, the reason is most likely that the servers are too busy. Just try again.

Do we get free games now?

There is a fake e-mail from Gabe going around saying people will get Dota 2 and Portal 2 for free. That e-mail is fake. Could we still get free games? Maybe. But don't get your hopes up because of any fake e-mails.

Have to be safe and make sure it won't happen again. I'm sure they had to clean up first and then test out things.

Practically they want to make sure that everything is fine, they didn't hack only the forums, they've hacked the Forums and Steam Database (Which contains all our data, game purchases, games, password, credit card, etc)

Also changed my account password, just in case. I'm really getting tired of hackers lately, they should go do something useful with their 'skills' instead.
