Is skyrim better on conosle or PC? also what happens if...

Is skyrim better for pc or console? I currewntly own a copy of skyrim on ps3 and am thinking of buying pc version, bearinign in mind I HARDLY EVER play pc games, would it be just as ufn as ps3 version or better?

On a side note, If i do buy it all my specs are good enough but my video card is some crappy HD family card thing and it doesnt meet the requirements, do you think it would run skyrim? all my other specs are better than minimum.

If you have it for PS3 and don't expect to spend a lot of time on Skyrim, I'd say no, unless you want modding.

I don't know if the PS3 version will have modding support, but the PC modding community for Bethedesa games are always great.

Yeah well basically im selling my ps3 and buying a 360, instead of re-buying the game on 360 im wondering whether buying it on pc would be just as good if not better

Also, do you know anything about my video card problem? do you think it would run?

if you already got skyrim on PS3 it won't be much better on PC. The graphics will look better but don't expect a night and day difference

Stay on the PS3 for now and wait for a price drop on the PC if you're still wanting to play it again with mods for later.

The PC benefits from better controls, (eventually) tons of mods, and much better graphic capabilities. Right now top end graphics on the PC might not be a huge difference from PS3 or XBox, but eventually there will be a multi-GB texture pack for PC that will blow the consoles out of the water.

Only difference is that on the PC you have the option of improving the graphics if your hardware can handle it. Otherwise its more or less the same game, even down to the XBox centric interface. Plug a XBox controller into your PC and it plays the same as on the 360.

You already stated that you need a new video card to play the game on your PC. So, if you want to invest $200 for a card and $60 for a game you already have and can already play, then do it.

Just remember if your PC sucks, don't come back here on the forums complaining that the game won't play.

Personally, I would never buy a game like this on the consoles simply because of the mods. If I want a cool new armor I can download one, if I want to re-texture my character I can make one, if I want to play a custom player quest with powerful, legendary weapons? I can do that.

The mods are the bread and butter of any Bethesda game, so if you're willing to dive into that then obviously the PC is for you. Otherwise, you're better off staying with the consoles.

If your PC can run Skyrim better or as good as your PS3 then what i would do is play it through on PS3 wait a few months after you finished playing it
Get it on PC (for reduced cost) install a bunch of mods and play it again

Seen it on both, naturally looks better on a PC that can push it. However, if you do get it on PC, expect to use a xbox controller, as it just seems to have been designed with the keyboard as a last minute afterthought.

Oblivion was terrible on PS3(don't even get me started on 360), and I have no reason to believe Skyrim will be different. It crashed many, many times and bugs were never fixed.
It's a simple difference in RAM and memory. Your average gaming PC is rocking 4-6gb of ddr3 and a terabyte of physical memory. Even though the CPU on a PS3, as well as the GPU to a lesser extent, are both top of the line, the memory is lacking.

NO, you will not be able to run it at all.

From what you say it sounds like you have an Intel Integrated Video chipset. These provide you with the bare minimum graphics capability and are not enough to play even the most simple 3d accelerated games.

PC better ?
With a good pc: yes
With a pc: no

Anything with an intel graphics card is in the second category (for gaming anyways)
