i really liked this game. love the gameplay, the art style, the sense of accomplishment you get from winning, etc., but the rampant cheating really ruins this game. play a while online and you will eventually run into high-level players who hacked their characters or used a trainer, some of them openly brag they are "modders" and got their loot this way.

it reminds me of diablo1, another great game ruined by cheaters (if they are not cheaters themselves, they can also get their loot from cheaters, which is another good reason not to depend on client-side saves).

i guess i will just stick to playing solo or with friends i trust because right now i can't tolerate the cheaters. some of them are so pathetic they don't even stick to "hard" or "insane" servers, but join the easy ones with only noobs playing as well. no point in even playing then since they just kill everything before i can blink.

With patch 7.10b they have added VAC to Trendy Net Dungeon Defenders. This may curb the cheating a bit. And create new issues for the game.

I only play on ranked and have never come across a cheater.

well by you saying cheating,im sure you mean modding as weapon modding is ok,however cheat programs like Cheat Engine are still bannable in Open Mode

you could do survival you know, that way it never ends and you have a higher chance of getting kills

my only regret in buying this game is the damn poor player community not very noob friendly. not that im a noob i get kicked out of games 97% of the time for no damn reason its ridiculous.

Yes, there are lots of idiots that instead of making a private game for their friends make a public game with a name like "Do not join".
