Saints Row The Third - Mission 9: Act 1:The Belgian Problem [SPOILER] [GLITCH HELP]

I'm stuck on this mission and from what I've read by far is only fix for the glitch(Keep Falling and can't shoot brute off the elevator thing or whatever until he whacks you) is to re-install but I wanna try to avoid that,anyone run into this and found solution(Without Re-Installing)

Oh it isn't glitch ur just keep shooting him it's happened to me also !

Loading from checkpoint doesn't work. I spent ~3 hours doing just that.

Apparently after searching the net there are some files that have a chance at not downloading when you install the game.

That's why there is no cutscene of the brute jumping on the ball when it falls.

Try to verify game cash in Steam and it will most likely download the missing files.

I just did and it's downloading *something* for this game...

Hopefully Steam will have this sorted soon.

I'm having the same problem with the missing cutscene. I have already tried verifying the integrity of the game, and downloaded a missing file a few days ago(to get my Genki DLC, which I still don't have), but the cutscene does not play.

EDIT: I verified the cache, it downloaded something, and nothing was fixed. I verified again, downloaded again, and nothing was fixed.

If it matters, I was using the angry hispanic female voice. Instead of the cutscene playing, she said "Hey! Who said that you can get on my ball?!" After a few moments of watching the ball fall, she repeated the line. Then she was killed by the brute. (I also installed the game from a disk, not through download, if it matters).

It can be a little frustrating, but basically. When Oleg breaks the bindings of ball. Make sure you have a full clip. (I [personally used the SMG, and aim at the face). There's a few seconds (like 2?) after he lands where you can't shoot him, but after that, empty your clip into his face.

The problem is, I think I have a bug.

I'm sitting on the ball, some soldiers arrive, we attempt to kill them. A few seconds later, some sort of cutscene happens in which you see the ball falling (but nothing more).

Then, you're back ingame, there's a guy on the ball. You can try shooting at his head, but in a second or so, he wipes you off the ball. I can't kill him in time, nor can I avoid him or anything.

I think that's the bug people are talking about here; I don't see him climbing on the ball, and the instant I can shoot again, he kills me.

EDIT: Yes, I watched a YouTube movie, and the whole cutscene where the guy climbs on the ball doesn't happen for me, the only thing I see is the ball falling and a lot of smoke. The next part simply gets skipped. It also happens a few seconds after I can begin shooting the normal people around me, I don't have to kill them all or anything (no can I in a few seconds, obviously).

Hmm, I fixed this error by setting my grahpics to low and my resolution to the lowest. Maybe this also works for other people.
