Magicka update 1.4.3.2
Hi all,
small update today (faerie-sized infact, to follow on the Fafnir - large update earlier this week). Changelog below, version number 1.4.3.2 /Paradox and Arrowhead _________________ Changelog for 1.4.3.2: Adjusted fairy dialog timing. Fixed collision geometry in Chapter 8 final scene. Fixed a bug in the purple staff. Fixed incorrect positioning of steam store highlight. Fixed a bug in arcane/life beam damage calculation. Fixed a bug where Fafnir would stop acting if a player was revived by the faerie. Fixed a bug where Death would stop acting if a player was revived by the faerie. Updated recent localization. |

Clicking Online Play - Versus - Refresh will cause the game to show adventure servers instead of versus servers.

I still get crash to desktop every time i make host in Coop mode adventure, any one has this problem ?, i hope to get fix!.

Is collision geometry responsible for me not being able to advance on Ch8? I don't want to slug through that stupid level again and then get stuck right before I fight the boss.

Hello,
I noticed since updating to 1.4.3.1 that I am not able to "queue" up my next spell any longer when initially using Earth to launch a projectile. A simple example of what I could do before would be: Hit D (Earth), and right click and hold (to launch an Earth projectile further). While holding down right mouse button, I could get another spell "ready" by entering whatever spell combination. However, since the update I have not been able to get my next spell ready to cast. Mine did get updated to 1.4.3.2 today, but I still notice this issue. Is anyone else having this issue? Again, this is only when using Earth projectile initially, then queuing up another spell. If I use any other spell initially, I can still start to queue my next spell. Thanks. |

Hello,
I have the same issue as aznmidnite. The same scenario he describes also holds for Ice. I hope this is regarded as a bug, because I very much enjoyed spamming lots and lots of ice shards, which is greatly reduced since this bug, because I cannot queue spells, e.g. the next ice shard magic. On another note, after the update, the character aims quite slowly when having a spell charged (e.g. right click and holding Earth). I was wondering if this is intentional or not. Personally I do not like the new behaviour. The update also brought nice graphical updates, for which I thank you. The game looks very nice. The new aura graphic is a nice touch. I have to question this. I've seen no real changes to beam damage, but a huge nerf to arcane/life nova damage. Novae are only doing half the damage they used to, from my experience with the patch. I don't know whether to call this a new bug or a typo in the patch notes.
Personally, I really don't like the change. It didn't seem at all necessary and just increases the probability that a surrounded player is going to die. In fact, with recent shield changes - look close, elemental shields are bigger than before when it's a single element shield - it seems like this is intentional. And I really have to ask why. |

I'm posting here, simply because I assume this is the newest version of the game that I should be referencing...
Playing the trial. Started to dig the silliness, fell in the hole at the party. The tutorial won't proceed past "click the middle mouse button to cast". It lets me cast just fine, but doesn't trigger the next step in the tut. Apparently they only wanted me to play the game for 30 seconds. No amount of clicking on or charging at the rope would do anything so I quit. |

Hi guys,
same issue as aznmidnite and Sandokansan, on windows 7 64 bit. I can't set a spell while I am shooting another spell. With all bullet-spells (no ray). Also, it always freezes when I finish a game (challange or adventures), in the final summary page (where it ask if you are sure of quit). I am forced to close the game from task manager. I updated the video card driver (gtx 460), but no results. After 50 hours gaming, now I can't play. I don't want be annoying, but before this update I never had freeze or other issues... |

Hi,
For me, the two recent updates (1.4.3.1 and 1.4.3.2) were overall a decent improvement upon the game, but I am not very happy with the changes in the game mechanics: Quote:

I'm so glad other people have also pointed out the inability to queue spells while casting projectiles, I've got a thread for it on the Paradox Magicka forum. It's my biggest complaint with the newest update.

Hi,
In Stars are Left Chapter 2, when talking to NPC in chapter 2 about the Magick Books. After when i try to talk to the old lady in the boat, the game crash instantaly and i cant get the book. Here's the crash report. Hope a fix soon ! Quote:
