Upgradable Weapons?

so i've been playing the SS3 singleplayer campaign for about an hour. i found the pump-action shotgun after about half an hour.

i've noticed that at first, the reload animation showed Sam putting shells into the well manually. but later, all of a suddenly, he reloads a magazine, which is also visible on the weapon now.

are the weapons upgradable in the game? if so, how, when?

i'm gonna have another look but i seriously doubt they put two pump-action shotguns in the game. plus, it looks the same except for the magazine it has now.

No, the weapons aren't upgradable. There are 2 shotties the single and the double.

ya, i think i was just seeing things. the shotgun always has a magazine.

Pretty sure the one that shots explosives is more like a modified revolver gl, not a shotgun.

It is a shotgun that fires explosive slugs, filling the role that the Grenade Launcher did, while leaving its max damage potential (mostly) open to everyone.
