Do Origin keys work on Steam?

I want to buy a Medal Of Honor 2010 key from a website but they say it's an Origin Key and I want to use Steam.
Do Origin keys work for Steam?
Thanks...

Yes of course it does Do you really think that EA would go to the effort of setting up their own digital distribution network, games client, etc, and then not allow their customers to activate it on Steam?

Pretty sure they wouldn't... like the reason some Steam keys work with origin is because Steam is essentially a retail seller... like EA gives some of their keys (in EAs databases or whatever) to Steam, which Steam then sells to the public.

So that means presumably your game you got on Steam should work with origin just like the key of a game you get off the shelf at Best Buy. Because the key Steam sold you is a key EA gave Steam to sell to you. But think - are the OTHER keys that EA did NOT give to Steam to sell to you in Steam's databases? Unless the game is one of those handful of games you can activate on Steam (see below), it seems unlikely.

Is the reverse true though? Does Steam have some kind of database full of possible EA cd keys? I doubt it, unless whatever game you are talking about is one of those handful of games that can be activated on Steam... there was some kind of post in the Steam help/support thing that lists all the games you can activate on Steam.

If I was you, I'd go check what that says.

so are people saying it or have they actually done it?

i know BC2 works, but havent personally tested any other EA game yet

i'd want it on origin just in case the hot zone map pack requires the origin version of the game (as opposed to bc2 vietnam where you enter the key in game)

None of the games I have on Origin (Dead Space, mirrors Edge etc.) will activate on Steam. Its a Invalid Key.

But all EA games I have on Steam do activate on Origin without issue. In some cases to the Deluxe Edition or whatever.

Like my Steam version of Batllefield 2 activates on Origin as the Deluxe version.

If you have it on Origin then there is no point having it on Steam.

but as to your question, no.

Well that's a no-brainer because half a year ago, EA made BF 2's Euroforce and Armored fury DLC free
