Good PC ?

I'm just looking for an under $1000 PC for gaming, monitor included. I currently play PS3 and I am looking for a better experience. I would like you guys to give me suggestions, possibly for 500$ (that is my ideal price). Thanks guys!

For $500 (including monitor and OS) you can't get much at all.

You could build a decent system with components for around $800 or so.

Alternatively, you could buy a cheap pre-build system and replace the power supply and video card and have a low-to-mid range system.
