Why would anybody want to delude themselves?

You know you didn't do it, that will never change.

Changing the marks on your report card does not give you IQ.

The program is safe if you are not playing any game. Think about it: Valve won't ban you for getting achievements, you are only changing stats and with that you are not cheating, trust me.

Why didn't you try the program on another account? There are many free games with a lot of achivements (like TF2). I did that to check if the program is safe or not.

If you are using a 3rd party program you are crazy. Valve probably won't ban you but why take the chance. It's not worth the risk.

And if you don't think they know the achievement wasn't unlocked from the game, again you're delusional.

that guy, was farming 100's of accounts okay. im sure a few achievements on 1 account will not merit a ban. but when your farming accounts like that guy you will obviously get banned.

Unfortunately this isn't illegal on Steam or for Valve Anti-Cheat, but don't use it, "bro".

Yeah, chances are it was someone made hundreds of steams to get items and trade them off to his main. That's pretty obvious.

Also, steam has done things to counter act, simply because they believe it does not warrant a ban.
Some games have been made to not unlock through SAM. such as Spiral Knights and RO2. I believe you won't get banned, simply because using a program like that doesnt actually effect the game engine. If you have a large reputation, though, I wouldn't use it.
I believe a lot of people use it just because they're lazy, or the achievement is too hard/unable to be unlocked as a result of a glitch/or because its from a special time period which later was removed meaning it's not possible to get any more.
Not to mention the fact that people use it to reset stats because they went into one of those stupid !giveall servers or because they want to earn it again.

TL;DR: Chances are, you won't get banned, but if someone finds out, don't be suprised if they call you out for being a lazy

Achievements do NOTHING. In any way, they don't give you an advantage over anything. Except for bragging rights. Seriously guys, get off the moral mountain.

So why cheating them at all?
Well using SAM might not be punished by Valve, but you will never be able to use any Achievement related services like AStats. Or only for a short time until you get banned there .
And I am happy about that .

Thats very insensitive to all those who were banned and those that lost their items during those dark days. LOL.

PS: My Cheaters Lament proves it did happen.

No one was banned/suspended/vac-ed. They just didn't get the hat and the idle items got removed. PS. Stop pulling from your .

Like I said, it's for bragging rights. Valve will never give 2 s about it. Unless for TF2, otherwise no. Achievements are for bragging only, I said that. You won't get banned for Achievements. You people are pathetic really.

I never said you get banned on Steam. I said you gonna get banned on specific achievement sites that enforce a no cheater policy.
And I throw people off my friendslist that cheat.
So I don't care what you do on your account.
Still, I find it lame because it contradicts the spirit of gaming and competition.
