Possible fix for glitched save games.

Just saw this posted on the Bethesda PC forum, no idea if it's viable but since i've seen quite a few posts about problems with glitched saves I figured I would pass it along...anybody have a wonky save they could try this out on?

Quote:
CLEANING YOUR SAVE FILE

a. place ALL carried items in a container (end table or chest. you should be nekked)
b. use the '~' tilde key to open console
c. type 'coc ctest' (this will teleport you to a simple room with a bed)
d. wait or sleep 10days (10x 24hrs) (this will reset all zones in game)
e. save and exit to desktop.
f. launch game and load last save
g. open console and type 'coc riverwood' (will teleport you to riverwood)
h. save and enjoy the game

this is an old school procedure carried over from Oblivion/Fallout

p.s.... don't forget to get your gear!
NOTE: I've read that Skyrim does not reset (i.e. garbage collection) for 30 days, so you may need to increase the amount of time you wait accordingly. Sure hope this works for people...

Define glitched save? Is this just for old saves with tons of stuff?

It's based on the theory that some (not all) CTD's are caused by corrupt information within the save file. The technique outlined has been known to help the game 'reset' parts of the world and items which has helped in other bethesda games for some people to recover their save to a working state.

In short, a long shot which has worked in the past and may or may not help in skyrim.
