Sonic 4 Episode 1 might be released on the PC
A Sonic 4 Ep1 entry appeared on the Steam Registry, this means that most likely there's going to be a PC version:

According to the Sonic 4 Brand Manager, the events in Sonic CD are important for the Sonic 4 story, with Sonic CD being re-released for the PC, I guess it's not too surprising that Sonic 4 is also being released for the PC.

AWESOME. I was wondering if this would happen, after we got Generations and the Sonic CD announcement.
I assume Generations is selling well on PC. Hopefully they're seeing that the market for these 'console-style' games is here on PC as well. We get most cross-platform games as it is, but the cute platformers don't make it our way as often. |

If you want more Sonic while we wait for those, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing is really good. There's no online multiplayer, but it has up to 4 player split-screen local, which is great. And the single-player is worth the price anyway. Every bit as good as most of the Mario Kart's I have played.

The Sonic 4 Episode 1 Steam registry entry has been updated, now the current version is listed as version 2, previously it was listed as version 0. I wonder if this means that the PC version of S4 Ep1 could be close to be released? Who knows. ^^;

The Sonic 4 Ep1 Steam registry entry keeps getting updated. Earlier this week it was updated to version ID 7, but since nothing else changed, I thought it wasn't a big enough change to make post about it.
Today the registry entry got a more significant update, the version ID in the content entry (app 202531) has been updated again, this time to version 8. The launcher entry (app 202530) has been updated with a "Configure" launch option, this means Sonic 4 Ep1 will use an external configuration tool like Sonic Generations. http://img860.imageshack.us/img860/3817/sonic4ep1v8.jpg |

A petition is unnecessary, when a game appears on the Steam registry, there's a really big chance that it'll be released, especially when the registry entry keeps getting updated.
And talking about updates, it's been updated again, The content entry (app 202531) has been updated to version ID 9, and the command line for the default launch option in the launcher entry (app 202530) was modified from "SonicLauncher.exe" to "SonicLauncher.exe -QuickBoot". http://img861.imageshack.us/img861/7097/s4ep1v9.jpg My guess is that opening the game through the "Configure" launch option will open the launcher, where the settings can be changed, while opening the game through the default launch option will just launch the game (quick boot). |
