Did they just patch analog support out?

I had picked up SMB recently after a long time and was almost all the way through the light world, then I recently booted it up and realized the game only allowed me to use the D-Pad for the 360 controller. I checked "controls" on the menu and there were no customization options, only a layout of the controls illustrating the D-Pad as the only movement keys. Did they actually patch analog support out or is this just an issue with my game? Why would they do that? Is there any way to get it back in?

wont work at me aswell. They do work in the menu's though :l

I just had a 3mb update. Maybe it was because of this patch?

I just noticed this, too.. Why did they suddenly decide to change the controls, and don't even include the option to keep them as they were? I don't want to use the d-pad.

Nice to hear I'm not the only one with this issue I guess. This reminds me of when, shortly after the game was released they patched the option to use the A and S keys out. I still don't understand why they did it and it wasn't til I got a 360 Pad over a year later I could get back into the game, and now this. The 360's D-Pad makes it completely unplayable, if this doesn't get patched this will be the last I'll see of Edmund McMillen's efforts.

About 20 minutes ago (1:20 AM EST), Steam said it had downloaded Super Meat Boy again, so I launched it. Analog stick works. Using an Xbox 360 wired controller.

I didn't try it after the earlier update today that disabled the analog stick for many users. I assume this most recent patch fixed it.
