How do I learn the "Fortify Enchant" , Fortify Smithing" potions?

I've looked everywhere, bought every ingredient made about 2000 potions and still haven't learned anything. Is there a recipe somewhere that I might have missed? Also, I only want to put 6 perks into my tree so that I can maximize my gear, and save the remaining perks for other more important tree's.

For fortify enchanting mix: Blue Butterfly Wing, Hagraven Claw and Snowberries

For fortify smithing mix: Blisterwort, Glowing Mushroom and Sabre Cat Tooth

Hopefully that helps. You don't learn any recipes...you have to remember them

and if you want to max your gear you need 7 perk points, 5 into the alchemist perk, then 1 into physician and 1 into benefactor. The point in physician is wasted but you need it to unlock the next level.

Ok, but I have all those ingredients and I don't see the option to create the potion. Am I missing something here? :|

Use the alchemist's stand. Click on the option at top that says 'Ingredients' and then pick the ingredients you need. That's also how you can discover new effects that ingredients have, just combine an ingredient with others until you've discovered all four.

You serious... Why do I get the feeling we are not playing the same game here?

Make sure you have those ingredients, go to an alchemy table and then use it, go to the first option "ingredients" and then select the three ingredients and then hit craft button...

I don't see how this is not obvious

I suggest reading the manual on Steam. It explains all that stuff.

That could take hours, so why not ask on forums? Something wrong, than don't reply simple as that. Didn't your mother's teach you this?

lol I'm a bit of a nerd and actually wrote an iPhone app for this. Here are the items that you can mix for fortify enchant or fortify smithing.

Code:
select
    i.item_id,
    i.name,
    e.effect_name
from
    items i,
    items_effects ie,
    effects e
where
e.effect_name in ('Fortify Enchanting', 'Fortify Smithing')
and ie.effect_id = e.effect_id
and i.item_id = ie.item_id
order by
    e.effect_name;

ITEM_ID NAME EFFECT_NAME
0001b3bd	Snowberries Fortify Enchanting
00063b5f	Spriggan Sap Fortify Enchanting
0006b689	Hagraven Claw Fortify Enchanting
000727de	Blue Butterfly Wing	Fortify Enchanting
0007ee01	Glowing Mushroom	Fortify Smithing
0006bc04	Sabre Cat Tooth Fortify Smithing
00063b5f	Spriggan Sap Fortify Smithing
0004da25	Blisterwort Fortify Smithing
Edit: Note that Spriggan Sap is in both lists. This means you can mix Spriggan Sap with any one smithing ingredient, and any one enchanting ingredient, and you will get a double effect potion with fortify enchanting and fortify smithing.

This is what you said: I've looked everywhere, bought every ingredient made about 2000 potions and still haven't learned anything.

I knew you were exaggerating but I gave you the benefit of the doubt. Then you pretty much said you don't know how to make potions.

And all I get for helping you out on some recipe information is you saying I am hostile.

Personally, I think the crafting system is pretty obvious without reading any information on it...

you dont have to know the recipe to make the potion. just mix random stuff and you will eventually learn more effects of the ingredients.

i didnt know this when i first started either. i thought i had to mix ingredients that i knew had matching effects.
