Want to buy Orange Box, but already have Portal

Will it add Portal to my inventory (doubt it!)?? Or purchasing Orange Box I'll waste a lil bit of money on another Portal that way? Or it won't let me buy Orange Box if I already have some games from the pack?

When I bought the Orange Box years ago I already had HL2 Episode1 in my games list. So I got an extra copy of it that still sits as gift in my Inventory.

Portal does not become giftable when you buy the Orange Box!

Only HL2 and Episode One become giftable, because that was a special exemption made for the Orange Box.

In general, you do not get extra copies of games if you subsequently buy a pack that includes that game. That said, getting the Orange Box is almost certainly a better deal than buying the Half-Life 2 games individually.
