Are these Sherlock Holmes games worth it?

Obligatory "is it worth it?" thread that I usually read when such games are on sale.

So, are these games worth a lunch sale price of $8.70 ?

i've played one of them before and it was quite good. The puzzles vary from good to WTF. So you'll likely need a walkthrough at some point. I'm probably going to get these.

Yes, some are, depending on your tolerances...

I like vs. Jack the Ripper the best, followed by:
The Awakened
Nemesis
Secret of the Silver Earring

Then Persian Carpet and Mummy are extremely iffy, at best. The first 3 are far and above the others in terms of gameplay, puzzles, story, and graphics.

I went ahead and bought the game. Played a bit of Awakened and I like it so far.
It is a little tough though and sometimes, you're clueless as to what to do next but eventually you figure it out either by clicking all over or by re-reading all the docs and dialogs and going from there. Best not to skip dialogs as they're the clues.

Overall, the games seem fun break from heavy duty fps shooters or skyrim I'm playing now.

From my other thread;

If it saved and I can carry on I will, otherwise I will be moving on to the next game earlier than I had hoped, hehe.

Either way here is Mystery of the Mummy for your enjoyment.
