To OP furrymuff already answered your question... but I'm sorry to tell you that with INTEL INTEGRATED GRAPHICS you're not going to able to play anything else that internet Flash based games.

Sorry.

Why? Intel Graphics are the worst GFX from whole world Just NVIDIA or AMD/ATI are decent.

When you buy a laptop you always must to check graphics specs. If doesn't say nothing then is for sure that is Intel POS there.

Unfortunately Intel has a strong dominance in the market selling expensive laptops with so mediocre GFX that are unable to do any graphic intense task.

Sharing your desktop in a videoconference? forget it would crash.
Playing HD-Blu Ray? nevermind... slow and eats all your system CPU/Memory
Gaming? a joke... those chips are unable to do it.

Just remember Intel Graphics are the worst and sadly becomes in 60% of all Laptops in the market.

Actually the HD graphics 3000 are a lot better than the old generation intel HD graphics. Be sure to turn off all background tasks because the video memory is shared with your processor. I guess that is you keep your computer clean from malware or heavy demanding processes you will be able to play the game on low detail fluently. (maybe some settings medium.)

It is true though that IHDG aren't quite made for gaming but intel tried at leat making the graphic solution not completely suck and made the 3000 graphics which are on par with a geforce 310M i heard. I had the GMA4500MHD which is an old i3 graphic solution. It could play Left 4 Dead on medium settings.

+1

These newer Intel integrated graphics, which take advantage of the excellent Sandybridge CPU architecture and DDR3 memory controller, are a lot better than the GMA crap of old, which I reckon AlHudson1 is referring to.

I had a go running Windows 7 via BootCamp on one of the new Mac minis that has the HD3000 and was quite surprised how well it did - smoothly ran a fully updated Half-Life 2 at full 1080p with all options on max, except maybe AA on 2x or 4x.

Okay, HL2 is coming up to 8 years old (8?!!! Can you believe it? And where the hell is Episode 3, Valve?) but it certainly is not an internet Flash-based game!

I also had some success with The Witcher and a few others.

Not sure how it would cope with MoH though. IMHO I'd rather just play HL2 again than fork out good cash for such dubious war porn.

yes. gaming laptops are meant to have a dedicated gfx card by ATI/Nvidia. integrated Intel gfx means the only games you'll be able to run smoothly are games like Super Meatboy, Cave Story+, Terraria, etc

this just isn't true if its the newer integrated 3000 HD. i can run everything from new vegas and oblivion to skyrim, shogun 2, jade empire, L4D 1/2, unreal black, dark messiah, killing floor etc.

in most cases i can run graphics on high even if i have to dial some settings back - but even then, i'm not crippling the game with objects fading out more than ten feet away and similar concessions. system only heats up if playing either of the two L4D games. other than that, theres no noticeable system impact at all when playing.

the ONLY game i cannot play is fallout 3, which i believe may be because it doesn't like my windows 7 64 bit rather than any graphics card failings.

/ edit - windows 7 HD 3000 dual core i5 2.30 ghz for anyone that's interested.
