Yes that gamepad acheivement IS possible

Becuase I just achieved it. Took me about 50 tries. Finally achieved it using another controller (wired one) in case the controller I normally use might have too senstive sticks.

Keep trying. The trick is to work out the pattern of the dots that come in. Watch the pattern and order of the dots that move in from the right. good luck to all of you while I'm off to do one more of the bit trip Runner achievement
