Crash on startup

I just bought the game in the holiday sale for 5 bucks, and now when I start it nothing happens, it says I'm playing it in "friends" but it goes away in an instant, no error message nothing.

That was the only error message I could find in the games folder, and setting it to start windowed or fullscreen on startup doesn't do anything
