Cannot change the resolution in SWTFU I

I cannot change the resolution of the game(actually, I want to low down the resolution).
When I try to change it, the GUI elements are drawn smaller and in the upper left corner of the screen. But the rest of the game don't change anything.
I'm running it in Windows 7 64 bit, and I have a GPU NVIDIA Geforce 335M.

yeah, it only really changes the size of text and the health/force bar

everything else, graphics, etc don't change much
