Prop Hunt Servers

So while searching for one, I typed in 'Prop Hunt' in tags, and it said no servers were found. How would I be able to find one?

Tag searches don't really work. Just puttin' that out there. Only way I was able to play on one was to join it through my friend and then fav'd it afterwards. I never see them in the server browser.

So I should put 'ph' in the map name search thing?

I don't know if there's any 24/7 PH servers, but Slag has it in it's rotation.

I could imagine that propunt would be hard after a whil, knowing where all the normal props are and always catching the prop players.

That's why most of the prop hunt servers have lots of maps.
Plus, normal spots always lose.If you hide on the most obvious spot you can find, you'll win.

I know one, I'm pretty sure it's run by sourceop. It's 24/7 and it's amazing. I don't know the exact ip but just look for sourceop in the server browser

Alternatively, sort it by gamemode and look around a bit. This way, you'll also find some other mods.

Prophunt is can be really easy or really hard, on both the hunters and the hunted. If you're a hunted, you can disguise as a crushed can or something and win very easily. However, if you're forced to disguise as a desk chair or a wooden cow...then it gets difficult.

On the hunters side: somebody's gotta be an Engineer or Medic. Preferably more than one somebody. All weapons use both health and ammo, to prevent spamming, which is great, but if you have no healing classes on your team, you're screwed.

I'm embarrassed that I've played TF2 for almost 3 years and I've yet to play any alternative TF2 mode like Vs Saxton Hale or Prop Hunt.

As others have said, go find the "ph" prefix on the maps list. But with all these content-adding updates, I don't know the current state of prophunt. That would mean more and more patches to prevent OP weapons and broken mods from ruining the experience.
As for difficulty, it all depends on the players. Some people got the hang of things, and know essentially all the spots and how to effectively catch props. Some people know how to run, hide, and fight back, giving the hunters a challenge. But most importantly, the player learns the importance of looking up. Have fun out there.

as others have said, put the prefix "ph" in the map list. In slag servers 1, 3 and 6 there are the most updated version of prop hunt, with kamikaze and stuntball, but its not a ph only server and its somewhat rare for people to choose it to play.

Hopeless forums.
GM's official PH server: 81.19.212.48:27019

Don't vote for any maps or any maps that AO made because they're all awful and unfun. Junk would be Hotel, Cargo, Maze, Warehouse, etc.
