Stuck on Title Screen

I have a serious problem that prevents me from playing this game.

When I open the game it takes me to the Title Screen, as it should, but I cannot navigate it. In fact, I can't move at all. No key works, not up or down, not Z, not any of the keys on the keyboard. I have attempted to adjust the Configuration and I've even reinstalled it twice, it didn't fix anything. I cannot budge from the Title Screen in any way. It's just Recettear that does this, Chantelise seems to work fine.

I've played this game before on my computer, a long while ago before I had to have this computer repaired again. It's fine now but I am unable to play this game again because of.... this. I know this is a great game and I want to play it again.

I need help, please.

I'm gonna be honest, I came into this thread expecting to just type "press z, yo".
Have you contacted support? They can be slow, but they're usually more useful than random forumites.

This happened to me at first, you just need to open the configuration tool and in the top right click "keyboard" and remap all the keys.

Same thing is happening to me, but even when I remap the keys to different or default keys, I still get no response from the title menu.
