Housekarls and horses

I have Lydia as a Housekarl and I don't want to lose her (...boy that girl can fight!!). I've also recently purchased two horses (my idea being one for me and one for her). Thing is I can't find a way to make her ride one of the horses.

Is there a way to do this or is the poor lass doomed to run everywhere?

Unless there is a door that you have to go through. Then she stands right in the middle of it and refuses to move out of the way.

I made Lydia join The Blades, I hated seeing her cooped up in my tiny house in Winterrun. I hope someone will create a mod that will allow companions to own and ride horses, I don't mind buying them one.

What you don't know is; she eats like a horse! So, running everywhere she goes helps her stay in shape! Otherwise she'd blow up like a blimp! LOL
