BS1DC: Savegame AFTER bible verse puzzle

I've been stuck on this puzzle for a day, and it still won't work. Whenever I try to highlight the letters on the tombstone in Montfacon, nothing happens. Hell I even went as far as to buy the trilogy set here on steam after having bought it on GoG.com, since someone mentioned a patch had been released through steam to fix the issue.

Does anybody know of a site that has a save game for the Directors Cut, which takes place after this infuriating puzzle? I've only been able to find save games for the original version of the game.

If anyone else encounters this problem and is completely frustrated with the lack of proper feedback in this puzzle, go ahead and pm me, as a service to mankind I've backed up a savegame after finishing this puzzle. You don't have to be stuck
