XBox controller w/ Fable:TLC?
Anyone know how to do this?
It's one of my stepsons favorite games but we can't figure out how to make the controller work. I've tried to get him to get used to a mouse and keyboard but what can I say, he's from a differnet generation. I can't use one of those controllers so... __________________ Nothing to see here Last edited by Silicon Vampire: 12-30-2011 at 09:03 PM. |

But yea, you need to use third party software; controllers aren't directly supported and unfortunately never were. |

I've done it with XPadder, but I had to go back to keyboard and mouse, it's not the same thing.

Hi! Xpadder seems not working for me! I installed it then I created a new profil with all buttons and saved it. Next, I launch Fable with Xpadder still running and... nothing. It doesn't work at all.

It's amazingly ironic (and sad) that Microsoft, the company behind Games for Windows and the push towards making X360 controller support a standard on modern PC games, chose to remove controller support for the PC version of their own game.

Well, Fable:TLC came out before the XBox360 Controller existed, and this was when Microsoft thought the console war could be won with the kb/m...

I used to use Xpadder extensively, but now I am getting more and more used to the Keyboard and mouse setup that I do okay without it. But I remember using it for fable TLC along time ago myself. I think you need to run the Xpadder program as administrator so it prioritizes it. I recall that fixing this issue for me as well. Xpadder is pretty cool though. You can use it to trouble shoot some games as well. For instance, Crysis 1 won't let you toggle crouch or go prone with the controller setup, but with xpadder you can still set those inputs to work. I made the reload button a press and hold for crouch and d-pad right for prone. It worked out and was better than nothing.
