Feeding the lizard spirit?

Feel free to call me a newb if I'm missing something obvious, but I haven't been able to figure this out. It says he wants spiders and snakes, but I don't see a way to feed him.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You just need to have Spiders and/or snakes in your army, and then talk to him. You should get an option to let him feed on your creatures. When he is done it will say how full he is, and when he reaches 100% he will serve you.

I tried that with some spiders but I didn't see any additional dialogue options. I'll try it again (maybe he just doesn't like spiders hatched from eggs, because those were the only ones I tried).
