Not sure If I'm doing something wrong or not.I plug in the controller. Run the game. When I get to the option and controls I dont see a 360 option.

Hmm that's weird. I use mine & it works fine.

Is it wired or wireless?

I have a wireless one with a charge kit to connect it to it. The cord with the usb end and the top to connect to the controller.

I looked into it a bit, and apparently the charger cable doesn't actually send controller information. It only serves to charge the device. This means that even when plugged in it's still operating wirelessly 0_o

Anyway, the gist of it is that you need a wireless receiver in order to use it on PC. They run about $22 on Amazon at the moment (Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows.)

Kind of odd that it works that way; the PS3 controller can be played via it's charging cable (though you need 3rd party software to get anything to recognize it.)
