Game wont start (no white screen)

I know this thread is already up, I just want more answers than the ones given....

Has anyone at all had success with this? So far I've tried reinstalling the game, but it still says that 1 file failed and will be reaquired... Does anyone know how to solve this? This error is the one where you click to launch the game, then it gives you the window where it says Play Game, and Setups Keys, then when I hit play, it starts to launch but then goes off without any messages or screens whatsoever...

If an administrator is reading this, are you working on a patch for this?

Just got this as a gift from a friend and having same problem.

My specs are.

i5 oc @ 3.9
8gb DDR3
Win7 64bit
Asus 5770 1gb

same problem. WTH, this game is not even new, why can't you figure this sh*t out?

Windows 7 64bit,
Zonealarm present (disabling doesn't seem to help)
