Is it just me? Or do player character textures suck now?

Or have I been spending too much time in BF3? I havent played for more than six months now, and when I started playing againg today I noticed that character textures look low-res. I have everything set to high.

They were considered good? the textures have always looked bad to me, least compared to other games.

Yeah, the textures have always been low-res in AA3. Even on the highest settings the game looks like crap.
