will not work on my comp

hi sorry if this has been covered before new here, had a quick look around could not find the answer, have down loaded pacific storm on to my main computer which is running windoes XP also has a Graphics Chipset ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 graphices card and 8GB ram. What happens is the intro screen comes up but then nothing have to restart the comp it just crashes, any help on this matter as it looks like a good game. On the other end I down loaded it onto my dell laptop running windows seven and it works fine, any help please, thanking you for your time.
