Question Is HL3 the last game?

What do you guys think? Will it be the last game in Half-Life series?

Yes or no? Why? Let there be comments!

No, because Valve knows we'll want more, and they aren't the types to do that Microsoft oh-yeah-totally-no-more-games-in-the-ridiculously-popular-series routine.

I'll wait until EP3/HL3 is released before I answer that.

The above is what happens when one company ends a series only to have it rebooted by another.

I realize it was by another company, but don't hype up what a climactic finale your game is if you're going to turn around and announce an entire damn new trilogy later.

I hope, I like having a full Half-Life game every decade or so. There is really load of places Valve can take it.

If anything, HL3 would possibly be the last Gordon Freeman HL game, but Valve could put the player in other character roles based in the HL mythos.

Adrian Shephard, Barney Calhoun, Gina Cross, Colette Green.

Heck, they could even make a game starring Griggs and Sheckley!

I am hoping to see (if HL3 is the last HL in the series) Prospero after HL3.

Why in the world does EVERYONE want Prospero?

From what we've seen of it, it sounded like a first person FPS/RPG version of Myst, with HL enemies. It sounds nice, but it would pale in comparison to any new IP Valve's super advanced 2012 brains could come up with.
