Question Xbox 360 Controller eBay vs NewEgg?

Just wondering if there is a pereformance difference between one bought on eBay like this one

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=p5197.c0.m619

And one that is bought on NewEgg
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16874103205

I have a controller like the one off eBay and I use it alot and I was wondering would it be better to upgrade controllers to the newegg one? Also I use KontrolFreaks for them
http://www.kontrolfreek.com/

Why upgrade if the joypad brand controller is working fine? I wouldnt see any reason to change to the official brand

You see how that one on ebay has neither an X on the center button, nor a sticker on the back? That's a knockoff.

Finally someone who understands what Im saying! Ok, Yes I know its a knockoff from the original is there going to be a performance difference from the newegg one which is legit and really nice compared to this knockoff one that im using as of current?

There may or may not be a difference depending entirely on what components/firmware were used.

If it was designed to be similar yet not infringing or whatnot, then it's highly likely you're going to have problems with games, just like you're currently having.

If it's the same components just shoved into a look-a-like container, then it should perform exactly like a normal 360 controller. But this is the less likely scenario.

First off, use the official Microsoft drivers/software for Xbox360 controllers to test your ebay gamepad and see if it checks out. The software should properly detect the controller and allow testing of the sticks, d-pad and buttons. If that all works fine then it should pass off ok in games with the proper xbox360 button layout, etc.
