FRAPS issues

Whenever I try to start L4D2 with FRAPS on the FPS overlay doesn't show up in-game, yet it works fine in other Source games. Most people I've asked have had no problem with it, I'm just wondering what the problem is with mine.

press f12 ( default key ) to show it on the screen. You can move the overlay number to each corner of the screen. It has 5 settings all done with the same button press.

Top left corner, top right corner, bottom left corner, bottom right corner, off.

Yours is probably off. Note that f12 is also the default key to take a screen shot :P.
