[Starscape] Crash during tutorial?

Anyone else have the game crashing during the tutorial? This happened to me the first time I saw the sector map.

I would have just reloaded and not thought much of it except for the fact that the tutorial cannot be skipped, which means I have to play through it again...and I haven't gotten around to that yet.
