Anyone else ever encounted a hacker?

I've played the L4D series since mid-2009 - and I never encountered a hacker,over 700 hours of gameplay and 2 years...have you met a hacker?

Encountered them playing in-game = yes.

Taken them out to coffee and had them try and hack their way into my pants = no.

I've played against a few cheaters in Versus (I can count them on one hand). Their cheats are quite useless as Special Infected and therefore in most cases they still weren't able to win.

There's another topic about this just a few threads below so not sure why you had to make a new one by the way.

Yes, probably around 10 of them, playing since 2010, over 2k hours of gameplay.

Speedhack, aimbot, mathack, no spread, possible wallhacks to go with it.

Sad part is that I met more of them in the competitive scene of the game than in pub games.

A couple of times maybe. And usually they get kicked by their own, fair playing teammates anyway.

the worse that i've seen is a hacker who speed hacked and was so arrogant to ♥♥♥♥♥ about it that he's even evading vac bans. Don't remember his name. Reported him but didn't bother to do any public bashing on youtube or whatever, (i had a demo about it), cause the vac ban policy is just not tailor made for l4d and it's all messy and none of these guys are really punished so they can feel it in their pocket anyway.

over 1k in playtime not one hacker BUT I don´t play versus just coop there we just lamebutt team killers there from time to time

I have seen one person who I suspect was using no spread - it looked like he had a laser coming out of his SMG.

Never encountered a hacker myself in L4D2 and I've been playing a ton of games on the L4D series, must be one hell of a lucky EU.

I've run into one or two speed hackers/aimbotters.

Many of you have probably encountered scum and not noticed. Subtle cheats like x-ray vision and melee scripts are a bit harder to catch, unless they're being complete idiots.

Can't remember which group got disqualified a couple years ago in the Alienware tourney, but they were caught using x-ray only after the match vids were reluctantly submitted by the cheaters and analyzed by the refs.
