Achievements with bots?

I got the Santa achievement when I played against the CPU, but I can't seem to get others.

Some, I've gotten playing with other people, but since I can't find many games, I play most of the time. Today, I tried to get "Explore South America" and I nuked every city on the continent at least once, multiple hits on the three required cities, but the achievement didn't register.

So, do I have to play with other people to get achievements?

I seem to have the same problem, on steam the achievements seem locked to me, as in not available.

I guess Santa was the only achivement can get with bot or alone.
I get some achivement only when i play against human.
