It's proof Steam doesn't actually set the price the publisher does. And this publisher clearly just threw it on Steam, and forgot about it. Not even remembering to lower the price over time. lol

glad someone actually brought this up. Makes me hate Konami. I don't buy there games anymore. I couldn't care less if the company went under either. They are extremely greedy.
Another example would be the Silent Hill "Collection" that's coming out. The reason I put quotations around collection is because its a sad excuse for one. It only includes Silent Hill 2 and 3. What about SH 1? or 4? or even Homecoming? two games is not a collection. especially when theres like 6 games out across multiple platforms. just makes me mad thinking about the whole situation and how they are ruining silent hill. The games have gone way down hill since the 2nd one anyway but I remained a fan until this. |

They have always been expensive on PC. And rare. The retail version of Homecoming is very rare (it's steamworks) and try and find a reasonable priced SH2 or 3...
The original was never 'officially' released on PC for some reason. Then again it seem to be the same with the Resident 1-3 on PC. Expensive and rare. |

Yeah I think they hate publishing their games for PC, with control issues etc and high price.

thats just sad there is such bad support for PC from konami, i would love to buy all the SH collection on my pc. also for a fair price, this 29.99 for SH:Homecoming is twice more expensive then the console version, just ripoff.

this situation reminds me of when i wanted to upgrade my cpu on my last motherboard years ago. the best possible cpu for my mobo was a $1000 3ghz single core in 2005; much more than i wanted to spend, so i patiently bid my time. when i was in the mood to buy an upgrade again 5 years later, the same cpu was still priced at close to $1000
... and it was only an f-ing single core! in 2010! this was at a time when decent quad cores were going for $300. so i finally said "f-that, keep your single core! time to get myself a new land grid arrangement."anectdotes aside, i can tell you all one thing: im sure as hell not paying $40 for a 4 year old game. I really want this game too, but im holding out for a good 75% off deal. Last edited by Man Slaughter: 07-07-2012 at 02:00 AM. |

In my country, SH:H was for 3$ during some random market sale. In box, with DVD & steam code inside. If i only knew about that trading stuff before, i would buy some copies for rest of the world
