The game runs EXTREMELY slow...

It's jittery and I'm getting maybe 2 frames an hour. I don't understand what's going on at all - I can run games with much higher requirements...

The intro runs fine, then it says press any key, I press space, and it goes into super lag mode where I get maybe one new frame every 20 seconds.

CPU
Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T5750 @ 2.00GHz
RAM
4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2
Graphics
128MB GeForce 8400M GS

Not sure what's going on, but here're a couple things you can try to do to reduce the load on your system:

Before launching the game, right-click on it in Steam, click "Properties," and uncheck "Enable Steam Community In-Game."

In the actual game, reduce your resolution size, or try running the game in windowed mode. I was having some frame rate issues (though not as pronounced as yours) until I put it in windowed mode.

Hope these help.

I don't think either of those will really help. My system should be able to handle this - I can run games that are much more taxing.

I just tried running it again, and I realized something: if I play through the horrible lag, it only lags in new areas. I can play old areas just fine without any lag at all in 60+ FPS. Something about how the game renders new areas is slowing me down massively. The music is lagging, too.

Just tried, said 100% verified and didn't have any problems. Restarted my computer again, too. Didn't fix anything.

I added my specs to the first post.

We're looking into frame rate issues at the moment. For now, try running the game in compatibility mode and see if that helps.

The game crashes if I run it in any kind of compatibility mode - I tried every combination of OS and SP just to be thorough.
