What am I doing wrong?
Ok watched the video, it looked cool. saw it was on sale so grabed a copy for me and my bro. saw it had dedicated server support so I loaded that up on a home server. we both played the turturial. Which was great. I love all the different controls of the game. Combat looked like allot of fun. Ok so we both join the server and choose mercenaries. We dock up and accept a misison however we dont know where to go, look all over the map and see nowhere. Then I jump to a locaiton I think it is at and the mission is cancelled. go back and do the same thing. After spending two hours trying to figure out how todo missions (we did find the locaiton to blow up the astroids).
I figure screw this so we join the military carrier instead. looking over the missions we see a couple and try out the first one. Of course we get blow up as soon as we get to the site. Ok restart from last save. But this time soon as we leave the ship we are attacked right away. after some fighting and losses we destroy these ships. At the end of it my ship was in pretty rough shape, I docked up for repairs finding out it would cost 70,000 credits. I only started with 5,000, And killing those ships gave me now credits. I dont see how to get ahead in this game, what am I doing wrong? |

When you accept a contract, you just need to jump.
The WP is already set for you. If you leave the sector, it's a fail right there. I recommend to stay in Sapphire to start with. You will not get attacked there at all in SP. Might be attacked by other players in MP, but not likely. Do some mining or the easy contracts there. I highly recommend the IMG quest. That will teach you the basics and pay you as well. You access it by open your F3 console. Click on NEWS. Click on READ LAST QUEST MESSAGE. It will tell you where to go. The race contract must be done in SP. All other contracts can be done in MP. Hope this helps a bit. |

People usually fly bigger ships that can take more hits. The starter ship as usual isn't the best. A bigger fighter has more shields, can hold more missiles and has more weapon/equipment slots. If you turn ids off (inertial dampening system) you can still accelerate and go at high speeds. Most people can't use the advantages of a smaller ship (faster turning rate, etc...) anyways. If you are in a sector with a carrier my guess is you went to a warzone. Buy a repair system from a high tech system (navigation/quadrant/economy). Trained crew members will help your guns and repair system work better. I think the level 3 repair system is the highest level one. I have a shield booster level 5, canon relay system (more fire power = important) on my ship also.
equipment and frames listing http://www.starwraith.com/evochronme...y/universe.htm spoiler to make money easier using mining. I think making money from combat would be much more fun/challenging.

Where are the options to change graphic level? as I approach planet the lag become horrendous and the docking is imfreakinpossible, any twitch in the controls = wild flight all over the place. the closer I get to the trade dock my ship slams into the ground. Oh well uninstall....
played with control settings and they are either WAYYYYYY over sensitive or unresponsive..... no happy median. =( |

If you're in the game 3d, will need to exit to main menu. I would try lowering just the planet detail level first and see how it goes. |

you dont get more time when you reinstall the demo, the timer data is deep in the PC's folders. best thing to do is play the tutorial, it doesnt use up the timer.

Yes playing in the tutorial mode seems to be the way to go for more time. Things have changed since I first started and now I do believe you are not limited to the sapphire system in the demo mode. Cant say for sure if that limitation is still in the tutorial mode. |
